As I lay me down to sleep
I pray my best friend lay beside me for keeps
The gentleness that takes my breath away
We are simply blessed in every way
With love and laughter I end each day
Tucked sweetly in this tender embrace
The blanket of darkness takes us into the night
Yet I remain Illuminated by his sweet face
Night lovers, sweet dreams

From the book LOVE - Leo Buscaglia
"Strong emotions are present in all people. Without feeling, we would not be human. It's unnatural for man to hide what he is feeling, though taught to do so, he can learn. Love teaches a man to show what he is feeling. Love never presupposes that it can be discerned or felt without expression"

Sound familiar ??
A girl's SMS to sister after a first date.
On my way home now and it felt like a whirlwind, it's weird these types of (blind)dates, like they are checking you out, summing you up in a few hours seeing how far they can go, spending little money, heading in for a kiss, a touch and depending on the boundaries you set, they form an opinion about a further investment.....
Almost the firmer the boundary the more respect they have for you and you are wondering "whew what's the right thing to do here, body responding to the very handsome man standing looking longing into my eyes and my head saying... Whoaa up buddy and oops did I actually say that out loud!!!
Whew you really have to know how this dating "stuff" works and be confident...
It feels that they also feel the pressure to impress in a really basic masculine way, like taking charge, beating their chest yet spill their heart and vulnerabilities all at the same time...
Wow speed dating on steroids!!!
Later - another SMS to sister:
He called to ask if I got home OK,(on a different number, explaining that I now how both his numbers) gee is it that scary out there that you need an alias phone?? and to say he was thinking of him cause he was thinking of me??
Do you want to see me again?
Yes I say, so see what happens, he seems nice a bit intense upfront yet with an honesty and lack of game that is refreshing in a guy.
Talk soon love you xx
